GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other GST returns prepared and filed before the due date.
Every GST-registered business must file returns even if there was no sale in the month. GSTR-1 reports your sales and is due on the 11th of the next month. GSTR-3B is the summary return where you pay tax, after setting off input credit, and is due on the 20th. Businesses with turnover up to Rs 5 crore can choose the quarterly QRMP scheme, where returns are filed every quarter and tax is paid monthly through a challan. Under the composition scheme, a quarterly statement (CMP-08) and an annual return (GSTR-4) are filed.
Late filing attracts a daily late fee and interest at 18% a year on unpaid tax. Repeated non-filing can lead to suspension of the registration and e-way bill blocking. We prepare returns from your Tally data or invoices and reconcile them before filing.
GSTR-1 on the 11th and GSTR-3B on the 20th of the next month for monthly filers. QRMP quarterly filers file GSTR-1 on the 13th and GSTR-3B on the 22nd or 24th, depending on the state. Tamil Nadu is on the 22nd.
Yes, if you are registered, a return must be filed even with no activity.
GSTR-1 can be amended in later periods and errors in GSTR-3B are corrected in a later return. Tell us as early as possible.
