Bank reconciliation

Match your bank statement with your books and find what is missing on either side.

About Bank reconciliation

A bank reconciliation compares your bank statement with the bank ledger in your books. Differences arise from cheques not yet cleared, bank charges and interest not yet recorded, wrong entries, and duplicate or missing transactions. Reconciling regularly catches mistakes, fraud and missing receipts early.

We produce a statement that lists each transaction as matched, missing in the bank, or missing in your books, and we show the books entries needed to close the gap so the closing balance agrees with the bank.

Who needs it

  • Businesses with several bank accounts
  • Businesses preparing for year-end or audit
  • Companies whose books have not been reconciled for months
